I Shot Andy Warhol
[Premise] Cory Arcangel, member of the Beige Records programming and digital music ensemble hacked a Hogan’s Alley NES cart and replaced the typical targets with iconic and pop culture personalities. “Targets” were chosen based on their ability to be readily recognizable even at the extremely small pixel size in which they are rendered.
The object of the game, once again in the style of Hogan’s Alley, is to shot Andy Warhol while attempting to avoid shooting the pixelated representations of the Pope, Colonel Sanders, and Flav a Flav. The game is over after a combination of 10 Warhol misses and erroneous celebrity hits. A bonus stage lets players attempt to juggle falling Campbell’s soup cans all in the glorious name of a high score.
